A serendipitous introduction led her to Shanta Marderisian and his pioneering pizzeria, "4th Band in the Fire," where she ascended to second-in-command. When COVID-19 struck, Sim’s adaptive strategies and emphasis on human connection kept the business thriving.
"It's not about pizza; it's about people. Every person who walks through our doors should feel valued," says Sim, underlining her distinctive leadership approach.
Sim’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident in her visions for the future. She describes plans to open "Sim's Place," a coffee shop that is as much about community as it is about coffee. She shares her belief in building meaningful relationships with customers, drawing from her pizzeria experiences and her personal mission to create spaces where everyone feels appreciated and connected.
