Jean-Louis Brenninkmeijer, a successful entrepreneur from Europe, shares his thoughts on Canada, and why family and community are integral to his business model.
Jean-Louis Brenninkmeijer is from an unfathomably wealthy European family. After his successful career in the family business, he has the means and experience to live anywhere and do anything. However, Jean-Louis chose Canada to be his home, and in this special Canada Day edition we learn the ways in which he invests millions of dollars in making this country the best place to live.
Jean-Louis created Little Canada, Our Home and Miniature Land at the Yonge and Dundas intersection in Toronto. I met him there, and it was one of the most exciting attractions I have visited in a long time. You have to see it to believe it: the imagination, creativity, and attention to detail poured into every model will remind you about how wonderful, diverse, and unique Canada is.
In the words of Brenninkmeijer's 90-year-old father, "Here, the world is still okay."
Some great takeaways are:
How an iconic family business moves from one generation to the next.
How a model train set and valuable time with his Dad led him to Little Canada.
What makes Canada so unique.
Happy Canada Day to all of us. Let's chat soon.
